This style is typical of the Kuchi from Khost Province in remote southeastern Afghanistan. The flexible neckband has 3 large, colorfully-beaded accents in vibrant red and blue. Sharp and/or irregular sections are also possible. This gorgeous old Afghan choker-necklace was handcrafted during the mid 1900's for the nomadic Kuchi tribe along the Old Silk Road of Central Asia. It is vintage tribal jewelry - not a new reproduction. More measurements and useful info are listed at the end of this description. The flexible neckband has 3 large, colorfully-beaded accents in vibrant red and blue. A double-fringe of long bell-dangles on ornately-beaded links hang below, swaying freely with movement. This style is typical of the Kuchi from Khost Province in remote southeastern Afghanistan. The ties for adjusting the length and the lining are more recent. Please note the ties are original, but very short, so you might want to tie on extra cords. You can certainly use as is, though. Perfect for festivals, belly dance, theater costumes, stage productions, and dramatic statements.
