This fine Carl Thieme figurine is an antique gem from Germany dating from 1902-1918. This is a figurine of a nicely dressed man selling lemons in a pastel purple apron. He wears a teal coat, pink pants, and leather sandals. His sleaves are rolled up. Facial features are meticulously detailed. Carl Thieme produced high quality porcelain pieces. Like many manufacturers located in Dresden, Thieme emulated many Meissen pieces. This particular piece was created after a Meissen’s figurine of a lemon seller – of same dimensions, by artist F.E. Meyer (c.1755) from the Parisian Street Traders Series. The figurine is a perfect addition to any collection, Dresden collectors and would make a thoughtful gift for a special occasion or loved one.
