Dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. Excellent condition- the very tip millimeter of the angels right wing is missing - but otherwise perfect. I believe this to either be an allegory piece or perhaps one of the muses. You can see the incredible detail, and beautiful hand painted colors. This is not my area of expertise-an ebay member identified it as Volkstedt. Impressed numbers, crossed blue swords, and a painted number as well. Measures 6” long, and a bit less than 4” to top of angel wing. A woman reads poetry, while an angel stands behind her. Dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. I can’t find another like it. ** *The dark spot on her arm is dirt, I didn’t notice it until after I took photos… it’s been cleaned off *** The last photo shows more pieces from the same estate- all are being listed this week.
