View parts - NOS unused 12-508 iron blade cutter for Stanley No 220G wood block plane with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. It is marked with the STANLEY notched rectangle and "MADE IN ENGLAND" below that. I have more than one of these. A quantity of one gets you one iron. I tried to pick out the iron with the most scratches in the lacquer coating for the pictures, they are all virtually identical. You are bidding on one NOS iron or blade or cutter for a modern Stanley Number 220G wood block plane as pictured. It is marked with the STANLEY notched rectangle and "MADE IN ENGLAND" below that.  Width is about 1-5/8" and overall length is about 4-3/8".   NOTE that this iron has the 3 oval holes to engage the adjuster, and it does not have any notches on the back side. And NOTE that it has the special shape and width to the center slot, not the smaller oval center slot found on older irons. This only fits the more recently made planes. Condition is NEW OLD STOCK, and never used. It has the original lacquer coating on it, with a variety of little scratches and scuffs in the lacquer coating, not in the iron itself.  I have more than one of these. RETURN POLICY: I believe that if you give honest descriptions, and include enough pictures, you shouldn't need a return policy. However, that doesn't mean that I won't make an occasional mistake. USPS POSTAGE RATE INCREASES: I use the Post Office for everything, and yes, the shipping charges just keep going up and up. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it's not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20" long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30" long, because those longer packages won't fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights.  I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item. If the value is $250 or over, eBay requires your signature at delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect. SALES TAX: Interstate sales tax is now the reality on all the major selling websites including eBay. If I ship to a state where eBay is required to collect sales tax, eBay will charge you the sales tax for your location.  There is lots of information available from eBay that explains it in much more detail. The sales tax is completely out of my hands -- I don't have anything to do with deciding whether to charge tax, I don't have anything to do with deciding the tax rate, and I never see any of the funds that are collected, they go directly to eBay. SELLING OUTSIDE OF EBAY: Why would I risk my lengthy good standing with eBay to save you a couple of dollars? Especially when you ask on an email that is sent through the eBay email system? Please don't ask, the answer is no. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I no longer ship Internationally other than Canada. If you are in Canada, ask for what the shipping would cost, but be prepared for it to be $$$$$.  AUCTIONS: I won’t end an auction listing early to sell it to you directly. As a bidder, I really dislike going back at the end of an auction to bid, only to discover that the seller had ended the auction early. So I won’t do that for you, or to you. PACKAGING: Please check my feedback -- I package well. I figure if you take the time to purchase from me, then I can take the time to package it well, and not just throw it into a cereal box with a scrap of newspaper.
