Participated in exhibitions: republican. Graphic artist. Created illustrations, book covers, posters, easel works in various techniques. Taught at the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute (1964-1967). Main works - illustrations for the works of Belarusian writers, artistic design of children's books; posters "In honor of the XXII Congress of the CPSU", "We will meet the First of May with new labor victories" (1959), "Let's increase milk production" (1968); easel sheet "Lenin. "Thoughts about the People" in black watercolor technique (1970); a series of lyrical landscapes. Posters by  Kalinin  are kept in the museums of Ukraine, the State Historical Museum (SIM), the Russian State Library (RSL), the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia (SCMSIR), the State Museum of Political History of Russia (GMPIR), the State Museum of V.V.
