The company's goal was to make glassware that homes needed, such as bakeware, serveware, and drinkware. In 1937, the Hocking Glass Company merged with the Anchor Cap and Closure Corporation. The company has been in operation for over 100 years. Today, the Anchor Hocking Company still creates all of its glass products from its original Lancaster location. The Anchor Hocking Anchorware 917 is a vintage coffee cup made from heavy-duty milk glass. The cup is 2.50 inches tall and 3.75 inches across the top. It is embossed with the number 917.
