Vintage Our Lady of Guadalupe Retablo Shrine Ornate Metal Altar Niche 12” Beautiful vintage-style decorative retablo shrine featuring Our Lady of Guadalupe in a highly ornate metal altar setting. This piece has a strong Spanish Colonial and Baroque influence, with heavy scrollwork, floral details, and a cherub holding a bow on the side. The center image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is set against a deep red background, framed within an elaborate niche. The entire piece is very detailed and dimensional, not flat. It has a fold-out metal stand on the back so it can be displayed on a table, shelf, or home altar. Measurements: Height: 12 inches Width: 7 inches Depth when fully opened with stand: approximately 6 inches Material: Heavy cast metal. It feels like brass or a brass alloy, but I am not 100 percent certain of the exact metal composition. It has a bronzed finish with subtle color accents throughout the scrollwork and base. I’m not exactly sure what material the Virgin Mary piece is made of. I was able to remove it from the frame, as shown in the photos. It feels lightweight, so it doesn’t seem to be metal, possibly ceramic or plastic.
