There are no holes or stains. This is a beautiful piece of Needlepoint craftsmanship. This Christmas Stocking features an angel playing what appears to be a mandolin. It has a navy blue velvet backing with a cotton calico style fabric lining. It appears to be wool embroidery with a velvet backing and cotton lining. I found no tags. I would place this from the 1990's. It measures approximately 20 inches long with out the hanging loop (about 22 inches with the loop measuring diagonally) by approximately 6 1/2 inches wide (at top).
