Striking vintage Italian art pottery vase attributed to Aldo Londi for Bitossi, distributed in the United States by Raymor. The original Raymor paper label remains attached to the underside and is marked 2154 BIT. This sculptural mid-century modern vase features a tall bottle-shaped form, deeply incised vertical texture, alternating burnt-orange and dark brown bands, and a distinctive asymmetrical bowl-shaped opening with a warm orange glazed interior. The unusual rim shape is part of the original design, not an ordinary round opening, because apparently even vases had more personality in the 1950s. Condition: Seller refurbished.
