View Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Light Blue Floral Enamel Ring with Marcasites with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. From the Art Deco era (1920s or 1930s) this is a substantial (as in heavy!). The design is very pretty of flowers in shades of light blue with green leaves. The background is a pale greenish color. I love the shape.much more interesting than a rectangle or oval. ⫸DESCRIPTION⫷ From the Art Deco era (1920s or 1930s) this is a substantial (as in heavy!) and beautiful statement ring. It is made of solid sterling silver and is inset with guilloche enamel decorated with hand-painted light blue flowers. The design is very pretty of flowers in shades of light blue with green leaves. The background is a pale greenish color. I love the shape...much more interesting than a rectangle or oval. All around the porcelain are big, sparkling marcasites. The underside of the ring shows that the back has some space underneath. This important for fit, because even though the ring is a nice, low profile, it is heavy, so you need snug fit so that the ring doesn't swing around. This open space allows you to get in on over your knuckle, but then will fit firmly. Inside the band it is marked "Sterling" and "Germany".  *The ring box shown is for display only and not included. ⫸MEASUREMENTS⫷ The top of the ring measures 1 1/8" by 7/8" This measures as a US size 7 BUT as I explained above, it is meant to fit larger. Based on how it fits me, I think it's about a US 7.75. Weighs 15 grams. Items that are considered "antique" are over 100 years old; items considered "vintage" are over 20 years old. All will rarely be perfect as these jewelry pieces have been worn & loved and will show evidence of that.
