As it is with the VAST majority of the pieces from this collection, they look 100 times more beautiful in person ~*~ I was very very fortunate to have acquired a collection of 1920's French jacquard and brocade samples from the 1920's, this is one of the pieces. ( to view the other pieces in the collection, please search my store for the words " 1920 sample " and also " 1926 sample " and they will all appear. I purchased this from a woman in France who's grandmother was a fabric representative in the 1920's and 1930's. She worked for a fabric company in Roubaix, France ( Northern France, not far from Calais. In the collection were also some documents from the English manufacturer GPJ and Baker. So as the town is near Calais, it makes sense that English fabric was being imported into France. It's extraordinary as this pattern is as fresh as the day it was woven. This document is important and so rare to find unused. An opportunity for an authentic glimpse of the past, fresh as the day it was woven ( please see condition details below) . Rare and very very exciting. MEASUREMENTS: This lovely fabric measures approximately 27 inches by 18 inches CONDITION: This piece is in as found, unwashed and unused condition. Some have some very small holes at the top where it was put into a book, some have some staples with rust marks ~ some have some pale dirt marks. This fabric can be dry cleaned.
