Plot: The poster depicts an eccentric clown in a bowler hat, who comically "plays" the double bass (or cello) with a huge two-handed saw instead of a bow. Authorship and year: The author's signature and the date of creation are vertically written in the left margin: "M. Manuilov 1967." This poster is a striking example of Soviet advertising graphics of the "thaw" era, when poster art moved away from strict socialist realism in favor of striking, laconic forms and playful visual metaphors.
