View as-is lot of 54 irons blades cutters for Stanley 55 wood plane need cleaning with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The Number 29 beading cutter was dropped from the earlier sets and is not in this set. --- and 2 chamfer cutters Numbers 40 and 41. This is a full 55 cutter set except that the slitter, which was counted as one of the cutters, is not included in this set. You are bidding on one set of 54 AS-IS irons or blades or cutters for a Stanley 55 wood plane as pictured. Depending on the vintage, Stanley 55 planes came with either 52 or 53 (briefly) or 55 cutters. This is a full 55 cutter set except that the slitter, which was counted as one of the cutters, is not included in this set.  All of the cutters in this set are numbered except for the Number 10 which is the tiny 1/8" plow or dado, which doesn't have room for a number. The number 232 reeding cutter is marked on the opposite side than expected, which is why it is shown upside down in the photos.  All of the cutters in this set have the standard Stanley notch in the upper corner, except for the Number 10 (no notch because is it so narrow) and the Number 32 fluting cutter (has the hole instead of the notch).  Included are: FRONT ROW LEFT TO RIGHT --- 8 hollow and round cutters numbers 43, 44, 45,47, 53, 54, 55, and 57. --- a variety of 14 cutters with numbers 62, 64, 73, 75, 82, 84, 86, 93, 95, 102, 104, 106, 113, and 115.  --- 3 reeding cutters with numbers 212, 222, and 232.  BACK ROW LEFT TO RIGHT --- 11 plow or dado cutters Numbers 10 through 19, plus Number 18-1/2.  --- 1 filletster cutter Number 9.  --- 1 sash cutter Number 1 with its depth stop. --- 2 match or tongue cutters Numbers 5 and 6, with their depth stops. --- 8 bead or beading cutters Numbers 21 through 28. --- 4 fluting cutters Numbers 32, 34, 36, and 38. --- and 2 chamfer cutters Numbers 40 and 41.  This 55 cutter set (meaning number of cutters) has 4 cutters not found in the 52 cutter set, which are the Number 18-1/2 (13/16") plow cutter, the #6 match cutter, and the #40 and #41 chamfer cutters. The Number 29 beading cutter was dropped from the earlier sets and is not in this set.  Again, the slitter is not included in this set, which has the 54 cutters listed above.  Condition is varied as can be seen. There are a total of 16 pictures, please look carefully at all of them. Some of the cutters are reasonably clean on one side but have quite a bit of rust or pitting on the opposite side. Most of the rust and pitting seems to be at either end of a cutter, with not nearly as much rust or pitting in between the ends on the majority of the cutters. Some have quite a bit of pitting, some have almost none as can be seen. Nearly all of the cutters appear to be their original length and not heavily resharpened.
