The orange and black lithographed tin body is decorated around the sides with classic Halloween imagery, including jack-o’-lanterns, witches riding broomsticks, crossed brooms and black cats. Metal jingles are positioned around the perimeter. A wonderful example of early American Halloween memorabilia featuring highly desirable black cat imagery. Surface scratches, scuffs, oxidation, edge and rim wear, and areas of lithograph loss are present throughout. There are some dents and irregularities consistent with age and use. The primary black cat graphics remain strong and clearly visible, and the surrounding Halloween graphics remain readily identifiable. Metal jingles are present, missing some jingles. An older collector/reference clipping is taped to the underside as shown in the photographs.
