Vintage Ellgreave Wood & Sons Ironstone Teapot Blue Floral Gold AS IS CONDITION: Pre-owned vintage condition with two disclosed chips. There is a chip on the underside/outer edge of the spout. It faces downward and is not readily visible when the teapot is displayed normally, but it can be felt when the spout is touched. There is also a noticeable chip along the upper rim of the teapot underneath the lid. This chip is concealed when the lid is in place but becomes visible when the lid is removed. Please review all photographs carefully, particularly the close-up photographs of both chips, before purchasing. Sold as shown and with the disclosed damage. DESCRIPTION: Charming vintage Ellgreave ironstone teapot by Wood & Sons, made in England. This attractive English teapot features a creamy white ironstone body decorated with blue, turquoise, and gold floral motifs. Gold accents decorate the lid, handle, spout, and upper rim. The underside bears the authentic backstamp: ELLGREAVE A DIV. OF WOOD & SONS ENGLAND GENUINE IRONSTONE The teapot displays beautifully with the lid in place. However, it has two disclosed chips: one underneath the outer edge of the spout and another along the upper rim beneath the lid. Both chips are largely hidden during normal display, but they are present and are shown in the close-up photographs. Because of the rim and spout damage, this teapot is being offered primarily as a decorative display piece, collectible, photography prop, floral vessel, or replacement lid/body set. Its suitability for serving hot beverages has not been tested or guaranteed.
