The blade is long and tapers to a fine point in classic hand saw fashion, with fine crosscut teeth still present along the full length. The handle retains nice warm wood tone on the reverse side and is secured to the blade with four large medallion-style split nuts. The bottom medallion nut bears a stamped inscription that reads 'Warranted Superior' or similar period marking, a common quality mark used by American and British saw makers from approximately the mid-1800s through early 1900s. The blade is long and tapers to a fine point in classic hand saw fashion, with fine crosscut teeth still present along the full length. Overall length appears to be approximately 26 to 28 inches. The blade shows heavy surface oxidation and patina throughout, with no visible etching or maker's etch remaining on the blade face.
