Beautiful vintage clear glass bead necklace featuring a dramatic graduated arrangement of highly faceted beads that catch and reflect the light beautifully. The single strand alternates faceted beads of varying sizes, with larger beads concentrated toward the front of the necklace and smaller faceted beads creating texture and dimension throughout. The substantial glass construction gives the necklace wonderful weight and sparkle. Finished with an especially pretty rectangular gold-tone box clasp featuring pierced openwork and a floral motif. The necklace is traditionally strung on thread and appears to have considerable age. Condition Good vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. Glass beads retain excellent clarity and sparkle overall, with scattered light scratches, tiny edge nicks and surface wear consistent with age and use. The vintage thread/stringing shows discoloration, fuzzing and age-related wear, particularly near the clasp. Areas of greenish discoloration are also visible along portions of the stringing/bead holes. Clasp remains functional. Because the necklace retains older thread stringing, it should be handled with appropriate care. Please review all photographs closely as they form part of the condition description.
