I present to you a rare, authentic vintage apron (sarafan-style apron) from the mid-20th century. It is a magnificent example of the classic domestic needlework of that era.The apron is made of red-and-white checkered cotton fabric (gingham style) and embellished with intricate hand embroidery. It is a full-coverage style featuring a square neckline and wide, integrated straps.Rich, hand-crafted geometric borders adorn the top of the bodice, the waistband, the tops of the pockets, and the hem of the apron. There are two spacious patch pockets on the front.The design features an open back, and the apron secures at the waist with long, wide ties that fasten into a bow at the back, allowing for an adjustable fit.This apron makes a wonderful addition to a vintage textile collection, a perfect prop for retro photoshoots, and a lovely decorative touch for a kitchen in a country, Provence, or retro-farmhouse style.In good, pre-owned vintage condition.
