Hand-painted cabbage roses in soft pink and cream with sepia-toned foliage, accented by raised gold paste floral sprigs. Clearly marked on the base with the Charles Field Haviland roundel and CFH/GDM/France stamp, dating this piece to circa 1891–1900. A genuinely hand-painted French Limoges covered sugar bowl from the Charles Field Haviland atelier — the kind of quiet, romantic Victorian porcelain that photographs beautifully and still earns its keep on a vanity or tea table.  Approximately 6.5" tall to the top of the gilt scroll finial, ~4" opening. Hand-painted cabbage roses in soft pink and cream with sepia-toned foliage, accented by raised gold paste floral sprigs. Clearly marked on the base with the Charles Field Haviland roundel and CFH/GDM/France stamp, dating this piece to circa 1891–1900.  Gold gilt shows expected rubbing and wear on the high points of the finial and along the lid's rim band, consistent with age and handling (see photos). No cracks or chips are visible; small black specks in the glaze on the interior are original kiln/firing specks, not damage. Please examine all photos closely, as this is an antique piece sold as-is. No lid stand or riser is included — the lid is shown resting directly on the bowl.   Genuinely hand-painted (not transferware) pieces from this factory are increasingly hard to find in this condition; a lovely display or repurposed vanity/candy jar for a collector or decorator.
