This jacket was obtained directly from a Nike employee sample closet around the original 2005 period. “85 / 20 / 05” anniversary label. The jacket has a charcoal gray brushed faux-suede-style polyester exterior with black trim and red piping. Vintage 2005 Air Jordan 20th Anniversary Jacket – Size Large Unusual, unworn Jordan Brand jacket from the 2005 Air Jordan 20th Anniversary era, featuring the distinctive “85 / 20 / 05” anniversary label. I have personally owned this jacket for more than 20 years, and it has never been worn. The jacket has a charcoal gray brushed faux-suede-style polyester exterior with black trim and red piping. The front features embroidered red Jumpman and “23” graphics, while the back has a large embroidered/appliqué Jumpman shield/crest design. History / Origin This jacket was obtained directly from a Nike employee sample closet around the original 2005 period. A family member worked for Nike, and I acquired the jacket while helping clear items from the sample closet. When I received it, it had a paper/index-card-style tag attached at the neck containing sample information. That tag was removed many years ago, but the original clear plastic attachment loop remains, as pictured. The jacket also retains a small internal production tag marked F31001VTG with an additional handwritten numerical marking. The garment itself is not permanently marked “SAMPLE,” and the original paper sample tag is no longer present. Because of that, I cannot independently document its exact development status or confirm whether this particular version ultimately received a retail release. I have been unable to locate another identical example.
