The Midge doll is shown wearing a green knit top and bright orange/red bottoms. Midge Doll #860 – red/auburn hair, blue eyes and freckles. The Midge doll presents nicely overall with attractive facial paint, blue eyes, freckles and auburn/red hair. Wonderful  vintage Barbie/Midge collection featuring an original Mattel Barbie Doll Case dated 1961 , a vintage Midge doll, and a group of early Barbie fashions and accessories dating primarily from the early-to-mid 1960s. The black carrying case features the classic  Barbie Ponytail fashion illustrations  on the front in red, yellow, green and white, with the  © Mattel, Inc. 1961  copyright printed at the lower edge. Inside is a vintage  Midge doll , along with several separately bagged vintage Barbie fashions and accessories. The clothing was previously sorted and identified by a collector, and the  original handwritten identification/price labels are being left with the collection . The Midge doll is shown wearing a green knit top and bright orange/red bottoms. These garments are included as shown but are  not being represented as an original Midge outfit . Everything pictured is being sold together as one collection. Condition Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. The Midge doll presents nicely overall with attractive facial paint, blue eyes, freckles and auburn/red hair. There is age-related wear consistent with a doll of this period. Please inspect the close-up photographs carefully for the condition of the doll, hair, body, hands, feet and clothing. The individual fashions and accessories have been stored in plastic bags and show varying degrees of vintage age and use. Some fabrics may have age toning, wrinkles, loose threads, minor staining, wear or other age-related imperfections. Small accessories should be evaluated from the photographs. The  1961 Barbie carrying case shows definite age and storage wear , including wear to the exterior, edges, corners, hardware and handle. The metal latch shows oxidation/tarnishing. The interior has scattered dark debris/marks and age-related wear, and there is visible deterioration/wear at some interior edges and corners. It has  not been restored . The handwritten labels are old collector/dealer identification labels and are included as part of the lot. They should  not be considered Mattel documentation or certificates of authenticity .
