My aunt traveled to China frequently for work in the 1950s and 1960s. She had a huge collection of soapstone figurines and vases that she purchased when there. This piece was among her collection, so I presume that it is one she purchased herself in China. I don’t see any significant scratches or nicks except minor ones consistent with vintage soapstone.   It seems  to be in very good condition. Review the pictures carefully as they are part of the description.   This is the exact vase that you will be receiving. The vase has been extremely well packaged.   Wrapped in soft fabric-like wrap and then was wrapped with three layers of bubble wrap and placed in a box that has been lined top and bottom with thick packing foam.   Condition: Used.
