This eye-catching cabinet piece is designed in a classic Urn/Trumpet shape, featuring a distinctive bulbous ovoid body, a constricted neck, and an elegant scalloped ruffled rim with a pedestal footed base.The center of the vase features a romantic Rococo/Classical Revival theme depicting a high-quality transfer vignette of winged cherubs (putti) reading and playing music, heavily inspired by the famous 18th-century court style of François Boucher.Production Technique:This piece showcases a wonderful mixed-media production technique from the late 20th century. The porcelain body was slip-cast, after which the central cherub medallion and gold filigree border were applied via ceramic transfer. Finally, a skilled artisan completely hand-painted the vibrant cobalt blue background vine and leaf pattern, giving the vase beautiful raised brushwork texture that deliberately overlaps the gold border line.
