Vintage Qing Dynasty Silk Embroidered Panel Chinese Legend Tapestry Beijing.  This panel is a beautiful example of antique Chinese hand embroidered silk.  I dates back to approximately the late Qing Dynasty or early Republic period (circa 1890–1925). The panel measures approximately 10 inches wide by 23 inches long and features finely executed hand embroidery on black silk. The design includes butterflies, flowering branches, and floral medallions worked in shades of blue, ivory, cream, and pale gold silk thread. The embroidery is framed by a blue woven silk brocade border and finished with a blue silk backing. Butterflies and flowers are traditional Chinese symbols representing happiness, prosperity, beauty, and long life, making this an elegant decorative textile as well as a collectible work of art.
