This is a antique Japanese Nippon porcelain tea set made between 1920 and 1945 (Late Taisho to Early Showa Period), marked HAND PAINTED NIPPON MADE IN JAPAN on the base. The veins of the leaves are outlined with fine gilt lines, creating an ornate and luxurious all-over pattern. Antique Japanese Nippon Gilt Maple Leaf Tea Set - Teapot, Sugar Bowl, Creamer This is a antique Japanese Nippon porcelain tea set made between 1920 and 1945 (Late Taisho to Early Showa Period), marked HAND PAINTED NIPPON MADE IN JAPAN on the base. The set includes: 1 x Lidded Teapot 1 x Covered Sugar Bowl 1 x Cream Pitcher Each piece is fully decorated with hand-painted autumn maple leaves in layered enamel tones of green, orange, red and yellow. The veins of the leaves are outlined with fine gilt lines, creating an ornate and luxurious all-over pattern. The handles, spout, rim and foot rim are trimmed with black glaze and gold accents, while the teapot spout features additional gilt scroll decoration. This is a classic Japanese export porcelain tea service with refined thin porcelain body and glossy glaze finish. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, hairline fractures or restoration. All hand-painted enamel remains intact with no fading or peeling. Only minor natural wear on the gilt trim consistent with age, and slight faint marks on the base from vintage storage and use.
