What I see is one corner where there is a split in the wood from age but it does not affect the working of the hinges which are intact. What I see is one corner where there is a split in the wood from age but it does not affect the working of the hinges which are intact. This hand made box was made by hand with a carved design using tools that burn a design into the wood. The design on this one is roses that have been painted red. Inside the etching of roses continues and the word GLOVES is burned into the wood. The box measures 10 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches high. The four sides of the box are carved the same with a swirl design. There is no latch on this box and never was. Nice addition to a pyrography collection. Condition: Used.
