This is a Victorian petticoat for a larger doll. It is made of light cotton lawn that has aged to a light cream. This was apparently part of a more elaborate set because the waistband has five buttonholes around its width, the front 3 set vertically, and no button at the back, so it buttoned to a top portion that is not with it anymore. I just acquired lots of antique doll clothes at a local estate; I'll be listing them this week.   This is a Victorian petticoat for a larger doll.  It is made of light cotton lawn that has aged to a light cream.  This was apparently part of a more elaborate set because the waistband has five buttonholes around its width, the front 3 set vertically, and no button at the back, so it buttoned to a top portion that is not with it anymore.  The buttonholes are hand sewn.  The waistband is about 6.5" inches across the waist and the petticoat is about 8" long, as shown with the tape measure.  There are two gathered tiers with the second one ending in four pin tucks and more than 1" of lace ruffle.  Unfortunately there is some damage to the lace and one pinhole in one of the tucks, as shown in closeups. The fabric is soft and strong and not brittle.  I am listing it at a low price; I would like to have it used/valued/loved, so my price will just cover listing fee and mailing costs.  Meanwhile, please see my listings for the Good Stuff!
