A beautiful Victorian-era Etruscan Revival brooch in 14K yellow gold, featuring a genuine old-cut diamond set at the center of a finely detailed flower. The pin stem does not currently latch into the C-catch. A beautiful Victorian-era Etruscan Revival brooch in 14K yellow gold, featuring a genuine old-cut diamond set at the center of a finely detailed flower. Both the gold content and the diamond have been independently tested and confirmed. The design showcases classic Etruscan Revival craftsmanship: applied beadwork (granulation), scalloped wirework, and layered floral and foliate detailing with textured petals and veined leaves, all framed within an open oval scrollwork mount. The workmanship and motifs are consistent with fine mid-to-late 19th century gold jewelry. Measures approximately 1.5 inches across (shown next to a US quarter for scale). Weighs 3.62 grams. Condition — please read: Sold in original, unrestored condition. There is a break to the back of the frame; the exposed metal shows solid yellow gold all the way through. The pin stem does not currently latch into the C-catch. Both the break and the catch are noted as straightforward repairs for a jeweler, but the piece has been intentionally left untouched to preserve its full originality.
