There is some fraying of the string at the clasps and fading of the gold tone on the clasps and spacers. SEE PHOTOS Depending on the lighting the bead color changes but is mostly a dark red with some shades of amber, rootbeer, dark cherry, pale copper, and carnelian. Although it can have a carnelian look to it in certain lighting, the beads are plastic, NOT a gemstone. Appears to be Lucite but has not been confirmed. The gold tone is NOT real gold.
