SET OF 8 ANTIQUE CAULDON PATTERN 2937 DINNER PLATES Offered is a coordinated set of eight antique Cauldon Ltd. England Pattern No. 2937 dinner plates, dating to approximately 1905–1920 based on the backstamp. Each full-size dinner plate measures approximately 10 inches in diameter. DESIGN Pattern 2937 features an elaborate cobalt-blue transfer-printed border filled with repeating star and rosette motifs, ornate scrolling foliage, floral cartouches, and delicate butterfly accents. A deep cobalt geometric band surrounds the center, which is decorated with a colorful floral bouquet in shades of pink, yellow, orange, blue, purple, and green. The hand-colored floral decoration may vary slightly from plate to plate, giving each antique piece its own character while remaining part of the same coordinated service. BACKSTAMP The plates carry the blue backstamp: CAULDON LTD. ENGLAND BROWN-WESTHEAD, MOORE & CO. EST. 1774 The “Est. 1774” wording refers to the company’s historic lineage and does not indicate that these plates were manufactured in 1774.
