This vase was acquired from the Lighthouse Estate through Hall Hunt Auctions and was part of an estate collection containing numerous high-quality antique decorative pieces and art glass. While the original maker’s mark has worn away over time, the quality of construction and decoration is consistent with antique Nippon porcelain produced during the late 19th to early 20th century. The original matching lid is included. There is a small chip on the underside rim of the lid (see photos). The chip is not visible when the lid is in place and does not detract from the vase’s display. The body has a hair line cracks on opening top not noticeable unless you're looking inside the piece or no major repairs that I can detect. Minor age-related wear, light discoloration, and manufacturing imperfections consistent with antique hand-painted porcelain are present.
