There is age-related wear and loss to portions of the gold/gilt decoration, especially along the rim and border, along with minor surface wear and marks on the underside. The reverse bears the blue “Hand Painted Nippon” Spoke/Spider backstamp, a documented Nippon-era mark used beginning around 1911. The platter features elaborate hand-painted gold floral and vine decoration, raised gilt detailing, an intricate geometric border, and a gold-trimmed shaped rim. Measurements: Approximately 12 1/2” long x 8” wide. Condition: Good antique condition with no chips or cracks observed. There is age-related wear and loss to portions of the gold/gilt decoration, especially along the rim and border, along with minor surface wear and marks on the underside.
