The beautiful red rhinestones are highlighted with the AB coating which brings out blues and golds. The larger rhinestones are dog-toothed prong set and there are four of them on each earring. Then there is a little smaller rhinestone chaton, also dog-toothed prong set, in the center. *Description: This is a beautiful pair of red rhinestone aurora borealis clip on earrings from the late 1950s to 1960s. The beautiful red rhinestones are highlighted with the AB coating which brings out blues and golds. The larger rhinestones are dog-toothed prong set and there are four of them on each earring. Then there is a little smaller rhinestone chaton, also dog-toothed prong set, in the center. Topping off the design are four smaller red rhinestone chatons which fall between the largest rhinestones. All are set on a gold plated backing which I tested at 18K gold surface metal. This is a designer pair of earrings but they are not signed, which was the case with many of the designers who only signed certain pieces or used paper tags. They are a great pair of earrings and would be a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection or make a great vintage gift! *Approximate Measurements: Length & Width - 1 1/8 Inches, Weight for Both - .6 Ounce *Condition: Great vintage condition.
