Make sure to Follow our store! 1911 RPPC Children Boy on Antique Tricycle Bicycle Girl Real Photo Postcard Description Wonderful original antique real photo postcard (RPPC) showing two children posed outside a home, dated June 22nd, 1911. The young boy is seated barefoot on an unusual early three-wheeled child's cycle/tricycle, while an older girl stands beside him on the porch steps. The girl wears a large hair bow and period dress, and the boy is dressed in a light-colored outfit typical of the era. The early cycle is an especially interesting feature, with its large front wheel, two smaller rear wheels, spoked wheels, and simple tubular frame. A terrific image for collectors of antique bicycles and tricycles, early transportation, childhood photography, Edwardian-era clothing, or social history. Handwritten in ink along the lower front margin: “June 22nd 1911” The reverse has an unused divided postcard back printed “POST CARD,” “CORRESPONDENCE HERE,” “NAME AND ADDRESS HERE,” and “PLACE STAMP HERE.” No postage or correspondence is present. Size: Approximately 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" An evocative, accurately dated 1911 childhood RPPC with an unusually desirable early wheeled-toy subject. Condition Antique condition with age-related wear. There are noticeable creases, including vertical creasing through portions of the card, edge/corner wear, small surface marks and general handling wear. The photograph remains quite clear with excellent period detail. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are an important part of the condition description.
