Will see signs of wear under magnification. *Description: This is a beautiful Vendome red and hot pink crystal beaded necklace with two strands from the last half of the 1950s. This crystal beaded necklace has large hot pink rhinestone beads with red enamel on the arms, five total, which are 20mm. These rhinestone balls have hot pink rhinestones all the way around the bead. In addition, the necklace has red crystal round faceted beads which are graduated in size with the largest measuring 12mm. The necklace is wire wrapped and the two strands are attached to floral bars. The hook and extension chain allow you to wear this necklace up to 17 inches in length. Vendome jewelry was made by the Coro company and was well known for its high quality design and construction. According to Julia C Carroll, of Costume Jewelry 101, she states, “In 1944, Coro began producing jewelry marked “Vendome” the name of a city in France. Like Coro Craft, the name Vendome is associated with higher-end Coro designs. Most Vendome jewelry was produced after 1953. The head designer of Vendome jewelry was Helen Marion.
