This two-piece pressed glass dish features a highly detailed hen with molded feathering, scalloped upright tail, comb and facial details. The coordinating oval nest base has the characteristic striated texture and beaded rim. Beautiful vintage Indiana Glass Hen on Nest covered dish in the desirable lime green iridescent Carnival Glass finish. This two-piece pressed glass dish features a highly detailed hen with molded feathering, scalloped upright tail, comb and facial details. The coordinating oval nest base has the characteristic striated texture and beaded rim. The lime green glass has a striking iridescent Carnival finish that produces shades of blue, aqua, purple, gold and green depending on the lighting and viewing angle. The hen lid displays the circular mold/valve mark on the back, a characteristic associated with Indiana Glass examples. Approximate measurements: * 7” long * 5 ½ ” wide * 5” tall assembled * Nest/base approximately 2 ½ ” tall Condition: Very nice pre-owned vintage condition. No chips or cracks noted. There is a smooth molded indentation/notch along the front lower rim of the hen lid where the mold seam meets the rim. This appears to be a manufacturing/mold characteristic rather than damage. Please see the close-up photo of this area. Normal minor variations associated with vintage pressed glass may be present.
