Absolutely charming vintage Limoges France hand-painted porcelain trinket box in the form of a beautifully detailed baby carriage. This is a particularly delightful figural Limoges piece, featuring a soft powder-blue carriage with a pink upholstered interior, blue accents, gold-painted detailing and four decorative gold-trimmed wheels. A sweet little porcelain baby rests inside the carriage, with delicate hand-painted facial and clothing details. The hinged carriage lid is mounted with ornate gold-tone metal trim and features an adorable teddy bear accent at the front. The metalwork continues around the carriage and includes the raised handle at the rear. The underside is signed: “M.L. Limoges France Peint main” The hand-painted details, unusual figural design and charming baby theme make this a wonderful addition to a Limoges collection. It would also make an exceptionally thoughtful keepsake or presentation piece for a baby shower, new mother, Mother's Day, first grandchild, or other special occasion.
