Up for sale is an authentic antique Japanese Imari porcelain bowl dating back to the late Meiji period (circa 1880–1910). The interior features a beautifully hand-painted 'Hanakago' (flower basket) centerpiece overflowing with peonies and chrysanthemums. It features a classic lobed/scalloped rim with vibrant underglaze blue, iron-red, and green enamel paneling.Condition: Good antique condition with gorgeous color retention. Please note there is an original stable kiln firing crack on the exterior base from the time of production (glaze pooled naturally into it during cooling), which is entirely normal for genuine wood-fired porcelain of this era.
