A handcrafted Orthodox cross pendant that combines the Crucifixion on the front with Saint George the Victorious slaying the dragon on the back, a symbol of faith, protection and the triumph of good over evil. 925 STERLING SILVER ORTHODOX CROSS PENDANT ST GEORGE DRAGON SLAYER UNISEX A handcrafted Orthodox cross pendant that combines the Crucifixion on the front with Saint George the Victorious slaying the dragon on the back, a symbol of faith, protection and the triumph of good over evil. The front shows the Crucifixion of Christ with the Virgin Mary and Saint John at his sides, the Hand of God above, and traditional Church Slavonic inscriptions. The reverse features Saint George on horseback defeating the dragon, guarded by archangels and Saint Sergius of Radonezh, with a protective prayer inscription around the edge. The hinged bail is decorated with the Holy Face and the inscription "Save and Protect". The dark oxidized background makes every relief detail stand out against the polished silver frame.
