View VHTF Vtg 1970s Barbie doll size Bedroom Suite Furniture Canopy Bed Vanity A21 with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. This set is very hard to find as I still have not been able to find it in a book or online, but I do see a similar one which I'll leave in the photos. The vanity lace matches exactly to the lace on the bed cover and canopy cover. This department store bedroom suite was made in the early 1970s I believe and sold as a department store Christmas item with the Susy Goose label removed since they had a licensing agreement with Mattel.  This set is very hard to find as I still have not been able to find it in a book or online, but I do see a similar one which I'll leave in the photos.  The vanity lace matches exactly to the lace on the bed cover and canopy cover.  The bench is missing its lace and has some chips to the plastic.  The material on the vanity bench seat matches the fabric under the lace on the vanity.  Also, the footboard has been replaced and is whiter than the ivory color of the rest of the set.  The fabric is all in very good condition and the mattress which is missing.  The lamp is the correct color but does not fit on the lamp.  There may be a piece missing.  Princess phone is present in white.  The silhouettes on either side of the mirror have a pink background, unlike the yellow background of the one I found in the JC Penney catalog and in a Barbie research book.  Apparently, these were sold possibly by Montgomery Ward, Sears and/or JC Penneys, but not sure which one sold this exact set.  This could possibly be from PLASCO, Irwin or Amsco, but the vanity looks like Susy Goose only it's not marked.  I did read that Susy Goose sold sets unmarked due to the licensing agreement with Mattel which could be why they are so rare.  The bed canopy is missing a hook on the left railing where is hooks into the headboard, but someone has glued a tiny piece of cardboard in it's place which works.  Also, one of the three canopy slats has a hook chipped off on the end, but it still works ok and can still be put together.  Please view all photos as they are a part of the description.  Condition: Used.
