View Rare J. W. Ridgway #1289 ‘Fancy Stone China’ Rimmed Bowl, c.1825 | Antique China with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. A beautifully hand-painted rimmed soup bowl by John & William Ridgway of Hanley, Staffordshire, marked "Fancy Stone China, JWR" on the reverse with pattern #1289. The bowl is worked in a rich floral spray of peonies, iris & smaller sprigs in deep pink, purple, teal & gilt-touched brown at the center, framed by a scalloped rim & a cobalt blue border patterned with scrolling zigzags, all accented with matching florals & touches of gold. Dishes from this pattern were hand-enameled over a printed outline. Pattern #1289 is a documented Ridgway design from the late Georgian/early William IV period, roughly 1825-1835.
