Original vintage framed portrait photograph of a smiling young child, dating approximately from the 1930s–1940s. The portrait appears to be a black-and-white photographic enlargement with period hand-applied tinting/color accents, especially visible in the hair. The image is presented behind a round opening in a textured cream mat and housed in its original decorative wood frame with gold-tone and brown detailing. Frame measures approximately 11inches wide by 12 inches tall. The reverse retains its older cardboard backing, hanging wire, nails and period mounting materials. The photograph/mat assembly also shows older cloth tape on the reverse, consistent with an original or early framing job. Condition shows age-related wear including toning/discoloration to the mat, light spotting and surface marks, and wear/chips to the frame finish. Backing shows staining and general age wear.
