Measures: 6.5” x 6.5” The dish has a gently curved, slightly sculptural square form with raised corners, giving it a clean mid-century modern / Scandinavian-inspired look. The yellow floral design appears to be fused into the glass rather than surface-painted, adding dimension and a distinctly handmade studio-glass feel. The underside is smooth and largely unmarked. There is a very faint area that may possibly be an etched or worn maker’s mark, but I cannot confidently identify it as a signature, so the piece is being offered as unsigned / maker unknown. Perfect for use as a jewelry dish, trinket tray, catchall, small serving dish, or simply as colorful decorative art glass. Condition: Very good pre-owned condition with no obvious chips or cracks visible. Any minor irregularities are consistent with the handmade fused-glass process. How this piece was made: As kiln-formed/fused glass, it was created by laying the yellow botanical design onto a blue glass blank and then firing it so everything fuses together. The gently upturned corners suggest it was then slumped over a mold in a second firing to create that shallow dish shape. This is a cheerful, beautifully designed piece with wonderful color and modern organic appeal.
