About the set Flair Marvel was Upper Deck’s 2019 revival of the 1994 Fleer Flair brand, and it kept the original idea: thick card stock, painted art, and a set built to be chased. The 90-card base set carries original paintings by Bill Sienkiewicz, Dave DeVries, Kathryn Steele, Ray Lago and Tom Fleming, with the marbled nameplate and gold Flair script of the 1994 design. The set continues past 90 with Flairium, sixty short-printed cards numbered 91 to 150 by E.M. Gist, Jeff Easley, Jim Pavelec, Jonathan Wayshak, Peach Momoko and Sean Galloway, each with the artist’s own words on the back. They fall in six tiers of ten: Tier 1 at one in 2.5 packs down to Tier 5 at one in 18 and Tier 6 at one in 80. A box is 54 cards, so completing Tiers 1 through 5 means pulling all fifty different short prints across roughly twenty boxes.
