The collection includes pieces bearing several Derby marks from different periods, including early hand-painted Derby crown/crossed-batons/D-type marks, circular BLOOR DERBY marks, and later ROYAL CROWN DERBY marks. The early Derby and Bloor Derby pieces appear to date primarily from the early 19th century, while the Royal Crown Derby pieces are later additions. There is age-related crazing, staining and wear to the gilding on some pieces. The 16” oval platter has a substantial hairline crack visible on the underside. Other age-related imperfections may be present. Please carefully examine all photographs, including photographs of the underside and factory marks, as they are an important part of the condition description. No attempt has been made to professionally restore or aggressively clean the pieces.
