This gorgeous pair of 1950s/1960s fan-shaped clip-on earrings features an incredibly rare mid-century factory crossover quirk: one earring clip is clearly stamped VOGUE, while the matching earring clip is stamped VITOGE. Rare Factory Crossover! Vintage Mid-Century Pink Givre Glass & Rhinestone Fan Clip Earrings – Signed VOGUE & VITOGE An incredible find for advanced vintage costume jewelry collectors! This gorgeous pair of 1950s/1960s fan-shaped clip-on earrings features an incredibly rare mid-century factory crossover quirk: one earring clip is clearly stamped VOGUE, while the matching earring clip is stamped VITOGE. Because both brands operated high-end production lines out of New York during the late 1950s, this mismatched hardware serves as fascinating, tangible proof of shared manufacturing facilities and components on the factory floor. Design & Craftsmanship Details: * Stones: Stunning, high-quality teardrop-shaped pink "givre" art glass stones. "Givre" (French for frost) features a beautiful, translucent frosted outer layer enclosing a concentrated swirl of milky pink and white color. * Accents: Highlighted by vibrant, brilliant pink rhinestone tips and a central floral-set chaton rhinestone cluster. * Settings: Premium gold-tone metal work with classic mid-century open-back prongs, allowing maximum light to shine through and illuminate the frosted glass. * Signatures: Left earring is stamped "VOGUE" on the lever; right earring is stamped "VITOGE" on the lever. Both mechanisms are tight, snappy, and fully functional. Condition Report: Excellent vintage condition - there is some light corrosion as you can see in the pictures although I imagine these could be cleaned up to look near new. The givre art glass stones and rhinestones are bright and free of chips or cracks. The gold-tone metal backing shows a beautiful, authentic age-appropriate patina that confirms its mid-century heritage.
