View Vintage Large Inlaid Wood Jewelry Box Parquetry Marquetry Velvet Drawer with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. There is a small crack along the back section of the removable drawer. The crack presently appears stable and does not seem to affect the drawer’s structure or operation. The red velvet-style lining has expected dust, lint, rubbing, and general wear. Beautiful vintage handcrafted wooden jewelry box featuring an intricate parquetry and marquetry inlaid design. The lid is decorated with an elaborate geometric checkerboard pattern made from contrasting shades of wood, giving the box a striking dimensional appearance. The hinged lid opens to reveal a bright red velvet-style interior divided into three storage compartments. A coordinating lower drawer slides out from the front and contains three additional divided sections. The box is finished with a central metal latch, decorative drawer pull, brass-tone hinges, and a lid support arm. This is a generously sized jewelry box with plenty of room for jewelry, watches, keepsakes, sewing notions, or other small treasures. The craftsmanship is impressive, and no missing pieces were observed within the decorative inlaid pattern. Condition This vintage jewelry box is being sold in as-found condition. The wood exterior has scattered scratches, scuffs, finish wear, and several lighter or dry-looking areas from age and use. These areas may improve with appropriate wood care, but no attempt has been made to oil, polish, or restore the box. The red velvet-style lining has expected dust, lint, rubbing, and general wear. One section near the back of the lower drawer has noticeable staining and lining loss, exposing some of the wood beneath. The lining in this area could potentially be removed or replaced by its new owner. There is a small crack along the back section of the removable drawer. The crack presently appears stable and does not seem to affect the drawer’s structure or operation. The metal hardware has age-related patina and wear. No loss of the parquetry or marquetry inlaid design was observed. Please review all photographs closely, as they are considered part of the condition description.
