Vintage hand-tooled leather handbag with beautiful floral and scroll tooling and wonderful aged patina. This purse has clearly lived a life! While conditioning the leather, I discovered old coins tucked down inside the compartments, including pennies dating from 1950 through the 1960s. The coins are not included, but they were a fun little clue to the era in which the purse was being used. The bag features richly tooled leather throughout, including large rose/floral designs, decorative scrollwork, multiple interior compartments and zippered pockets, and leather-wrapped handles. CONDITION: This is being sold AS IS for restoration, collection, display, costume/prop use, or someone who appreciates genuinely aged leather. The exterior leather has beautiful color and patina, but there is substantial age-related wear. Interior seams/stitching are separating in multiple areas, and there are worn, cracked, scuffed and distressed areas throughout. Please examine all photos carefully. I have conditioned the leather but have intentionally not attempted structural repairs or heavy restoration. Despite its condition, it is a striking old piece with tons of character and would look fantastic displayed in a Western, ranch, Southwestern, boho or vintage setting. Maker/brand is unknown.
