Made in France in late 1800s. This is a wooden piece with nickel/silver bands on the ends and an applied nickel/silver art work. The wood carving is a flower and vase with a cross above it. The nickel is then placed in the carved wood. Some of the artwork has been lost over time. The nickel tab for opening is marked Jurassienne Nickel. The lid clicks closed and would be great for a snuff or pill box. Also a beautiful collectors piece....Piece measures 3" (L) X 1 3/4” (W) X 3/4” (H).
