Vintage Reichenbach East Germany GDR Cobalt Gold Floral Porcelain Plate 9.5" This is an authentic vintage German porcelain handled serving plate produced by the Reichenbach factory in Thuringia, East Germany (GDR) during the Cold War era, likely between 1968 and 1990. The design features the factory's signature "Echt Kobalt" (True Cobalt) deep blue glaze accented by vibrant, multi-color floral bouquet centerpieces and smaller rose motifs. The serving platter features an open double-handled shape with heavily scalloped edges finished in thick, intricate 24-karat gold-gilded scrollwork. The porcelain is marked on the underside with the official Reichenbach crown insignia, the painter mark "68", and the "made in GDR" stamp. Width (handle to handle): Approximately 9.5 inches Width (opposite side): Approximately 8 inches The plate is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or scratches.
